The Architecture

Wood, stone, brick and ceramic carvings cover almost every surface — and each one tells a story. We'll slow down at the famous roof ridges, the symmetrical courtyards, and the hand-painted beams, so you can actually see the craftsmanship the guidebooks gloss over.

The Living Museum

Inside the halls you'll find Cantonese embroidery, ivory miniatures, jade carving, and folk-art collections that you'd never decode on your own. I'll share the history of the families who built the hall and the artisans whose work fills it today.

We start with the showpiece: the elaborate ceramic roof ridges, the carved entrance halls, and the symmetrical courtyards that make this building photograph so beautifully.

Inner halls & art collections

We move into the side halls to see embroidery, ivory work, and folk-art exhibits — with all the stories and historical context you need to enjoy them.

Tea & easy drop-off

If you'd like, we finish at a nearby teahouse for a quiet cup before I help you on to your next destination.
